First time at this restaurant. It's pretty good. My favorite is the duck fried rice... it's so flavorful & it's a good mix together. I think the service can be a little better. We had to ask to get a water refill... They parking is pretty hard. Overall, the food is pretty good, worth it to try.

Been comming here since 2010. It never disappoints and always impresses new guests. I've tried to top the food, can't. This is my forever go-to. Best Thai in the city, in my opinion. Always consistent. Clean. Family run. They always remember us. Tough to beat!

Classic flavors makes every dish feel nostalgic. So far, my favorite Thai spot. Gets busy in the evening time so you know that's a good sign.

Huge plus that this place is open late! My friends and I were looking for dinner at around 10 pm and they were still open for a few hours. We ordered the curry puff, tom-yom soup, panang curry and pad kee-mao. All the dishes were good. We were surprised at the curry puff because we haven't tried it before and it was delicious. Big portion for the Tom-yom soup. We recommend this place

Back when King of Thai used to call this space home, all of my visits seemed to come when it was either late into the night and/or when I was...somewhat less than sober. Which, not so coincidentally, is probably why I never knew I hadn't written a review for them. However, ever since King's Thai has taken over, it's pretty clear the nature of my visits have also changed, even if nearly everything else about this place is largely the same. Honestly, between how the decor and the menu look almost identical to King of Thai's, I wouldn't be surprised if the only thing that has changed is the name above the door! While this location looks all too familiar, I will say that this place is a bit nicer looking compared to the other King of Thai's that I've been to. As a whole, the decor is a bit more modern, with a lot of dark and warm tones, but it's far from the trendy vibe that Osha Thai puts out. As for the menu, it's pretty much the same as King of Thai's, but I have to admit I don't remember it looking this interesting (like I said...less than sober). From their appetizers, noodle soups and curries to their fried rice, rice plates, and stir-fried dishes, there's a good variety of both common staples, like Pad See Ew and Kao Gra-Pow, and offerings I see less often, like Guay Tiew Nuer Puir and Roasted Duck Curry. -- FRIED CHICKEN OVER FRIED RICE - Deep Fried Marinated Chicken Cutlet Over Thai Fried Rice...$17 Pretty Solid. The batter was nice and crispy and the chicken itself was fairly moist, but I wish the taste of the marinade/seasoning had been stronger. As for the rice, I liked that it wasn't overcooked, wasn't too salty, and had a nice hit of white pepper. -- GUAY TIEW NUER PUIR - Egg Noodles with Beef Stew, Spinach, and Bean Sprouts in Beef Broth...$19 I wasn't sure what to expect with this one, but it was surprisingly good! The noodles had a nice bite and I liked that the chunks of beef stew were quite tender. The broth was rich and flavorful too, though it was definitely on the fatty side. -- PAD KEE MAO with Chicken - Stir-fried Flat Rice Noodles, Fresh Chili Garlic Sauce, Minced Chicken, Long Beans, Bell Peppers, and Basil...$16 Not amazing, but it was a very comforting dish. The noodles were cooked perfectly and I really liked how well all of the flavors came together. That said, I do wish the dish had more heat to it and that it wasn't quite so oily. -- ANGEL WINGS - Deep Fried Wings Glazed with Sweet Spicy Garlic Chili and Topped with Crispy Sweet Basil...$13 Not as good as my favorite Angel Wings out there, but better than most I've had. The wings were hot and juicy and, more impressively, the batter still had a nice crunch under the glaze, which was great, but a touch too sweet. -- GREEN CURRY with Chicken - Medium Spicy Green Curry, Coconut Milk, Bell Peppers, Bamboo Shoots, Eggplant, Basil..$16 I LOVE green curry and this didn't disappoint! The curry packed a nice punch, there was a good amount of chicken, and I loved the mix of vegetables they put in. I do wish the curry had been thicker, though, as it felt very runny/thin. -- KAO GRA-PROW with Pork - Sauteed Minced Pork with Bell Peppers and Basil in Special Fresh Chili Garlic Sauce...$16 I had a major craving for this and it was so satisfying. It wasn't as spicy as I thought it'd be, but the sauce was still quite delicious and there was a fair amount of pork and basil. I just wish there were more bell peppers and a fried egg! As far as service goes, it may not be the greatest I've ever experienced, but, across all of my visits, I can't say I've run into the types of issues that other Yelpers have mentioned. Yes, there have been times where I've seen the servers hanging around the counter and chatting, but they're still attentive to when customers hail them and they usual float around to check if anything is needed. What's more, the servers have always been really nice and they even made a point of verifying my friend's identity before confirming he left his credit card behind/returning it to him when we went back to reclaim it, rather than just handing it over blindly. Between how the food has been consistently good, the lack of a wait for a table, and how they stay open until midnight (especially rare and appreciated on this side of the city), I find myself coming here more often these days than I did to their predecessors. There are definitely better places in SF for Thai food, but when factoring in convenience and proximity to me, King's Thai is definitely nice to have as a reliable go-to!

Seems like lots of the lower tier reviews about service, so this can vary - but I had a good experience here on a busy Friday night with their service. Nice and cozy restaurant with decent prices for Thai food. I like to rate Thai restaurants based on the level of spicy options available and how fresh the ingredients were. My friend and I ordered different soups and they all tasted like very fresh ingredients. Tom yum was not too sour or too spicy, and they had plenty of sauces available. The Tom Kha was so milky that I was able to smell it across the table. The Spicy Calamari was more sweet than spicy though
